Puss (Antonio Banderas) lives his life to the fullest. At least until he meets Death (Wagner Moura), who points out that he has already wasted eight of his nine lives.
Fleeing from Death, Puss hides out at the home of old cat lady Mama Luna (Da'Vine Joy Randolph), where he meets Perrito (Harvey Guillén).
When Goldilocks (Florence Pugh) and the three bears stop by his hideout and talk about a map to a wishing star, Puss makes a plan to use the wishing star to restore his lost lives.
During the adventure that follows, Puss finds not only the wishing star, but himself as well.
