The Deutschland-Semesterticket
digital with the myVRN app
The Deutschland-Semesterticket can be booked in the myVRN app after registration and confirmation of entitlement via Shibboleth.
If not already available on your smartphone, download the myVRN app:
Switch to Account in the myVRN App
- Menu button right VRN Account
- Register
It is best to use a private e-mail address that can be accessed independently of the university. - Wait for the confirmation email and then click on the link for verification
- Complete registration in the automatically opened browser window:
- Add your Address
- Specify a Payment Method (Credit Card or PayPal)*
You will receive a final e-mail confirmation of successful registration.
*Specifying the payment method (currently PayPal and credit card) is mandatory for technical and contractual reasons, although the Deutschland-Semesterticket is already paid for with the enrolment and can be ordered for € 0. A verification process is carried out by the payment service provider Logpay.
Switch to the ticket shop in the myVRN app
- Menu Button right VRN Ticketshop
- In the VRN Tarif section, select Deutschland-Semesterticket under Deutschlandticket
- Select Authorization check
- Click on Get access and confirm University of Kaiserslautern-Landau
In the app, you will be redirected to the RPTU homepage (german version, you can switch the language)
- Log in with account of the Rechenzentrum (RZ or RHRK)
If the authorization is successfully checked, the validity period of the authorization is displayed and confirmed with an Approved.
After a successful registration, a proof of authorization for the ticket will be stored.
- Click back to the Ticket Details (left Button oder back function); alternatively, return to the VRN ticketshop and select the Deutschland-Semesterticket
- Add the Deutschland-Semesterticket to the basket
The Deutschland-Semester appears in the basket at a price of € 0.00; a validity period from 1 October 2024 to 1. November 2024 3:00 a.m. is displayed*
- Complete with Buy now
*The Deutschland-Semesterticket is valid for the entire semester. In the myVRN app, the ticket is provided as a monthly ticket every month of the semester.
If you are still enrolled in the next semester and have re-registered, you can repeat section 2 20 days before the start of the respective semester. This will extend the authorisation period until the end of the next semester. It is then not necessary to book the Deutschland-Semesterticket again.
However, if the eligibility check is negative or is only carried out during the new semester, sections 2 and 3 must be repeated.
The Deutschland-Semesterticket is paid for at the time of enrolment and cannot normally be cancelled. In the event of exmatriculation or leave of absence during the current semester and a refund of the amount by the university, there is no longer any entitlement to the Deutschland-Semesterticket. In this case, it must be cancelled independently. Cancellation of the Deutschland-Semesterticket must be made immediately when applying for exmatriculation or leave of absence at the end of the current month (technical deadline 10th of each month). If the cancellation date is after the 10th of the month, the cancellation must be made by the next possible date. In addition, the exmatriculated student must contact VRN immediately by email at ticketshop@vrn.de to have the cancellation date corrected.
In the event of cancellation in the course of exmatriculation, it is not possible or permitted to order a new Deutschland-Semesterticket. However, it is possible to purchase/use other products such as the Deutschland-Ticket or the Luftlinientarif.
